Property Tax Estimators
Don't rely on the tax amount shown on a listing or real estate website. That number is usually the current owner's bill. It often includes their homestead exemption and the Save Our Homes cap, which limits how much a homesteaded home's assessed value can rise each year.
After a sale, the assessed value resets to market value on the next January 1, so a new owner's bill can be much higher. Use the county's estimator with the price you expect to pay.
