If you're searching for a home west of Orlando, there's a good chance you'll come across Winter Garden, Horizon West, and Windermere.

They're relatively close geographically, but that doesn't mean they offer exactly the same experience.

Winter Garden

Winter Garden combines historic character with newer residential growth.

Historic Downtown Winter Garden gives the community a recognizable center, while surrounding neighborhoods provide everything from established homes to newer construction.

For buyers who want a community atmosphere while remaining connected to the greater Orlando area, Winter Garden is worth exploring.

It's also the community I personally call home.

Horizon West

Horizon West offers a different feel.

Much of the area has been developed more recently, making it particularly interesting for buyers attracted to newer homes, planned neighborhoods, modern amenities, and growing commercial areas.

Depending on your priorities, Horizon West may appeal to buyers who want the conveniences associated with newer development while remaining close to Winter Garden and other parts of Central Florida.

Windermere

Windermere is another well-known option west of Orlando.

The area is associated with established residential communities and proximity to Central Florida's lakes, with housing options ranging considerably depending on the neighborhood.

Buyers considering Windermere may be looking for a different residential atmosphere from the newer communities found throughout Horizon West.
